At The Heritage School, Rohini, we understand that career planning is not just about the next step after high school; it’s about discovering oneself, aligning passions with potential and preparing for a future that resonates with one’s unique personality, interests, aptitude and ambitions.

This is where our Career & College Counselling (CCC) steps in — a beacon guiding students through the maze of choices to their ultimate career and college destinations. It aims to empower each student with the essential information, resources and skills for lifelong learning, enabling them to make informed career decisions.

Approach

We believe that each student is valuable and unique as they embark on their own journey towards self-discovery and future planning. We believe in nurturing this individuality, equipping our students with the knowledge, resources and skills necessary for informed decision-making and strategic planning. Our comprehensive in-house Career & College Counselling curriculum for Grades IX–XII focusses on holistic development, encompassing socio-emotional learning and career exploration through workshops, university fairs, university visits and talks by eminent individuals.

Our 3-pronged approach: IDiscover, IExpress, IChoose

IDiscover

For Grades IX & X students, this phase is about self-discovery and career exploration.

IExpress

As students move into Grades X & XI, they delve deeper into understanding their identity and aspirations, undergoing aptitude tests that aid informed subject-selection decisions in Grade X.

IChoose

The culmination of our Grades XI & XII program, focussed on making informed decisions and preparing for college applications.

Grade XI

Students work closely with counsellors to engage with visiting universities and admission representatives, exploring various undergraduate programs and determining the right ‘fit’ for their future studies.

Grade XII

The focus shifts to assembling the components of their college applications and creating a strategic plan with appropriate timelines. Students have access to resources, workshops and counselling to alleviate the stress of the application process, ensuring they submit compelling applications and transition smoothly into their undergraduate studies.

We provide a supportive environment filled with resources, workshops and personalised counselling to facilitate the application process. Our ultimate goal is to empower our students to confidently navigate their college application year and secure a place that fits their aspirations and potential.
